Engineering at York U
The Lassonde School of Engineering is a place where you’ll be free to explore your passions and gain different perspectives from the world around you. For example, a group of Lassonde students is currently mentoring high schoolers to develop the Treasure Box Braille System, an app that teaches Braille to visually impaired children.
At Lassonde, you’ll experience a broader learning path to prepare you for a complex and creative future. That includes opportunities to study business and law alongside your accredited engineering degree, to undertake co-op placements at top employers and to join international projects in China, Ethiopia and Greece.
At Lassonde, you’ll have the chance to ‘learn by doing’ with passion projects, to work in teams with hands-on design challenges, and to launch your own start-up venture by enrolling in the School’s entrepreneurship program known as BEST.
At Lassonde, you’ll learn, make and discover in the brand new Bergeron Centre for Engineering Excellence, the School’s world class new home on campus, with zero lecture halls – replaced by design studios, flexible classrooms, learning labs and maker spaces.Find out more about Engineering ›
